Visitor Center

Opening Late 2026

The Visitor Center, designed by BKSK Architects, will be visitor’s first point of contact and entryway to the experience of the Pavilions. The building’s purpose is to “act as a good host”, according to the BKSK Principal Joan Krevlin, and will include a welcome space, rotating gallery space, dedicated education center, and administrative offices. The Visitor Center will orient visitors on the site, and equip them for their exploration of the Pavilions. The gallery at the Visitor Center will host rotating exhibitions in conversation with legacy pavilions, attracting repeat visitors and sustaining a dialogue between the historical bodies of work on permanent view and a larger cultural context.

The Visitor Center’s year-round dedicated classrooms and workspace will directly support Art Omi Ghent’s growing, robust education programming, providing classroom space for indoor activities.
