The Biennale Exhibition Pavilion will mount long-term curated exhibitions rotating every one to two years and thereby multiplying the opportunity for new exhibition experiences alongside the Legacy Pavilions. The exhibitions at The Biennale Exhibition Pavilion will remain on view for a longer duration than is typical of the broader art world’s pace, allowing featured artists more exposure to audiences for whom Art Omi Pavilions is a destination.
The Biennale Exhibition Pavilion is designed by Lee H. Skolnick, FAIA, of SKOLNICK Architecture. Mr. Skolnick has employed his integrated design philosophy on projects for such clients as the Sony Wonder Technology Lab; the Smithsonian Institution; the Creative Discovery Museum; the New York Historical Society; the New York Hall of Science; the Cooper Hewitt National Museum for Design; and the Muhammad Ali Center among many others.
The Pavilion will employ a new 3D printing technology as part of its design and will be the first building to employ this technology in the Northeast.
